Another wonderful week

We have enjoyed yet another week tied to the dock, with access to a rental car.  Our time was spent doing boat maintenance, cleaning, laundry, grocery store (stock piling for The Bahamas), walking, running, visiting with other boaters (loopers and non-loopers), reading & studying charts, maps and weather patterns…all in all…we’ve been very busy-in a holding pattern!!
Just a sample of what we saw at the Boat Show!

We did take off Friday and attend the Stuart Boat Show.  What a great time and we saw several other loopers (past & present) so it felt like a reunion all day!  Fun, Fun, Fun…

Our time at the Corp of Engineers Park is drawing to a close as we plan to leave Monday morning heading east.  There are several anchorages along the way including Peanut Island.  If the current weather pattern holds true – it looks like our most favorable day to cruise to West End, Grand Bahamas Island will be Thursday, January 19th!!!
Old Bahama Bay - Customs check in point
We have used our time wisely and because we have been patiently awaiting this weather window all we will need to do is…pull up the anchor and head east, northeast!! YAY!!  After a quick update to our cell phone plan – more on that when it actually happens – we will be in international waters!!  So exciting!!!

Every day it seems we meet new people with common interests and wisdom to share.  We are so very blessed to have the opportunity to travel this great country on The Lower Place!

Be a shining star to someone today…SMILE!!
