Ed. Note (again) - still unable to upload pics to the blog. I will work on this issue this evening. No internet tomorrow.
Another day in the Bahamas!!
Yes, the day started with unusual flair…Charlie discovered his credit
card was cloned & being used in Washington State (disputed, cancelled &
new card on the way). The clouds were
very heavy and eventually opened – creating a messy morning. Good thing we were busy making sure there
were no additional hands in the cookie jar!
Around noon, the rain stopped, clouds remained and Rick & Moni were
knocking on the boat ready to explore Marsh Harbour!
So we were off to solid ground. We found a grocery store (very clean &
reasonable prices), hardware store (stocked like Lowe’s), bakery after bakery
after bakery and a family owned diner (good lunch). We walked & walked & walked on the right side of the road since cars drive
on the left side of the road. FYI:
Crossing the street can be confusing…just saying.
The rain came back in sprinkle form but we made the best of
it. We were back to the boat by 4:00
& enjoyed some of our bakery finds (cheese Danish the size of my head!) and
coffee with Rick and Moni. Tomorrow
morning we will slice the coconut bread…can’t wait!
We plan to depart tomorrow and travel another 10 miles to
Hope Town. I’m really looking forward to
our time there…yet another cultural change within the islands – simply amazing!
Be blessed and keep smiling!
Thought for the day:
Good judgment comes from experience and experience comes from poor judgment. Hmmmm….
