Sunset 1/31/2017 Bluff House Marina Beach

On the move again!  Tuesday morning we pulled out of Bluff House Marina, sad to leave Rascal’s Retreat behind BUT happy to have Traveling Soul and Erigante leading the way to Treasure Cay!  It was a calm, partly cloudy day and believe it or not…a little on the chilly side!!  Who knew?!?
Minor traffic on the Sea of Abacos - commercial fishing boat w/towed dingys

It was a short travel day (about 17 miles) and we hooked a mooring ball at Treasure Cay Marina.  A morning ball is “almost” like anchoring but you received the amenities of the resort without the electricity. And that is just fine with us…the solitude of anchoring/mooring is so relaxing!

The Side Yard ready for a trip to shore
Because of the short distance we were able to drop the dinghy & head to “town”.  What a warm and inviting area!!  A grocery store, bakery, eatery, convenient store, pottery shop all within walking distance AND reasonable prices AND super local knowledge.  Such kindness…it’s really the best part of this entire adventure!

And as a surprise bonus…Rick and Monica from Moni Jean are docked at the marina!  We took the opportunity to hit the beach!!  Soft, white, powder like sand…I’ve never seen/felt sand like this…think, Gold Medal All Purpose flour…no kidding!!! They joined us for an afternoon beach stroll that turned into a pizza & salad dinner at pool side!  Fun!!! And so nice to see Monica on her birthday eve!

Treasure Cay Beach - gorgeous!!
We are looking forward to Wednesday!  More land exploration but also interacting with the local community is really something I’m looking forward to!!  YAY!!!
We do take time to relax - periodically!
Have a marvelous evening!! and God Bless!
