Fun day for fishing...but not so much for catching
March comes in like a LION!!  Wow…it’s been windy, windy, windy in Melbourne FL and we are evermore grateful to be tied to the docks at Melbourne Harbour Marina!!  And we’ve been B U S Y too!

Bob and Charlie hauling the "fishing buggy" to the beach
Since I last posted we have…cleaned/washed/polished the boat inside and out, changed the oil in both engines AND the generator and washed clothes.  Also, we have enjoyed visiting with our friends Bob & Paula from Tupelo (currently camping in Melbourne).  Have I mentioned…they have ground transportation??  We have been so blessed to ride with them on several land explorations!  Stick Marsh, St. Luicie County Fair, fishing and of course, several eateries!!  So good to spend time with familiar faces!

We have also taken time to tour Melbourne on foot or bike.  What a great town and so pedestrian friendly!  I headed out on Saturday for a foot tour with no particular route in mind...I ended up in a different town - sometimes I amaze myself!!

Melbourne is full of history - this site is right behind the marina

Running/walking trail - see the Florida Wildlife?

This bridge is 65' above the water - a "training hill" Florida style! FUN!!!

My view from the TOP of the bridge - downhill from here!

Hmmm - new town on the other side! I love it when that happens!

Monday (3/6/17) I trotted toward Melbourne and found no shortage of unique businesses and friendly folks.

...and of course, there's always a little history
I discovered this little gem at 1.75 miles - returned to the boat AND Charlie walked back with me for lunch!
Only in Florida...hearing aides and cupcakes - bring a friend and spend the day!
I'm sorry I left y'all hanging for the past week - we have been having so much fun, along with a lot of manual labor - I have lost the discipline to sit down & put my thoughts into words.  I will try to do better...

I hope your week has started off with ease and everyday is productive and happy!!
God Bless!!
