Traveling the Georgia Coast

Shrimp boat working hard

We were sad to leave Darien GA this morning (4/4/2017) but it was time to start moving AND they needed our dock space for the incoming shrimp boats for this weekend’s Blessing of the Fleet.  I predict that one day we will return to Darien (possibly by car) to witness the event!

The weather has been our greatest concern the past few days and today proved to be very cloudy – some heavy cover at times – and then turned to clear skies and sunshine!!  We went north of the front – thank you Jesus! Some of our looper friends (south of us) had a very wet travel day but all have reported being safe tied to a dock! YaY!

Nine hours and 77.5 miles later we dropped the hook for the evening ½ mile up Herb River just south of Savannah GA.  We are tucked in safely with Tranquillity III.  But we had plenty to see during our travels…here’s the pics

Wild hogs on the shoreline...during daylight hours?!

Great afternoon for a kayak break
Tomorrow’s weather once again is forecast to be a challenge.  Rest assured we will leave at first light and have a plan A B & C in place.  And it will include a marina, being tied to a dock or at least a mooring ball.  Thanks for your prayers and please know you are in ours!

God Bless!
